The people of Sanctum worship an Angel who lives in the neighboring forest.

None may willingly enter Her sylvan keep. And yet for a chosen few, She beckons to them with Her impossibly beautiful song. Once called, these lost souls have no choice but to obey Her command and walk until they reach the heavenly source. All other trespassers are expelled with a far more violent verse.

Those who enter Her domain never leave, save for one mysterious exception. Despite Her terrible warnings from the impenetrable forest, the townsfolk accept the Angel as their god. It is far easier to believe in the divine once you have heard Its voice in your own backyard.

Addy and her grandfather Jacob, two outsiders drawn to the rumored forest, soon find themselves caught in the midst of a prophecy becoming reality. Seraph Corbin, the head of the church and the town’s spiritual leader, believes these visitors to be integral cogs in the wheels of fate that will open the Angel’s forest and the gates of Heaven itself.
